In memory of "Show a Spirit" our Beloved Corky, who passed away in early February, 2006

Our beloved "Corky" passed away in early Feb., peacefully, after eating his breakfast at the age of 21. He never got anywhere near the green shavings, but he was a once in a lifetime horse. , Frankie Barker and her daughter, Karen Laurita, (Applewood Saddlebreds of Yucaipa, California)  bought him as a 2 year old because of his wonderful disposition &, at the time, Frankie said "He will teach my grandchildren to ride". Well, he didn't get to do that, but he taught HUNDREDS of others.  Frankie and Karen retained ownership of "Corky" for the rest of his life.

R & R Stables is setting up a Corky Memorial Fund so that he may be remembered with honour.  If you wish to donate, please email Rachalle.  We would like to set up a Perpetual Trophy Award for High Point Horse in the name of "Show a Spirit" at the CSWT shows, where Corky excelled in his later years.
